Right now, we are seeking a Systems Analyst based at Western Union’s location in Montvale, NJ.


In this role, you will be responsible for driving all systems related aspects of Compliance KYC Country Rollout and Compliance Template projects end to end in order to meet country regulatory requirements.

  • Liaising extensively with external or internal clients, including AML Compliance, regional Operations, QA, UAT, systems engineering and systems support teams
  • Define application problem by conferring with clients; evaluating procedures and processes
  • Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability
  • Propose solutions by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions
  • Control solution by establishing specifications; coordinating production with programmers
  • Translating client requirements into highly specified project briefs
  • Conducting requirements analysis and preparing functional specifications and country configuration documentation
  • Presenting proposals to clients
  • Working closely with colleagues, developers, testers, and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
  • Perform data analytics
  • Mapping and documenting interfaces between legacy and new systems
  • Guiding development and QA teams on country requirements and KYC capability understanding
  • Reviewing and approving test strategies
  • Validate results by testing programs
  • Supporting implementation of KYC country rollouts and Compliance template rollouts, developing deployment plans
  • Creating standard operating procedures and process documentations
  • Learning and implementing agile processes and tools

What you will need to succeed: 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in Software Design, Software Requirements, Software Documentation, Software Testing, Software Maintenance, Software Development Process, Teamwork, Consulting Skills, and Software Architecture
  • Broad knowledge of hardware, software, and programming
  • The ability to learn quickly and be adaptable
  • The ability to contribute to a team effort
  • A logical approach to problem solving
  • Excellent interpersonal and client-handling skills with the ability to manage expectations and explain technical detail
  • Business awareness (planning and negotiating skills)
  • A methodical, investigative, analytical, and inquisitive mind
  • Presentation skills (Excellent oral and written communication skills)
  • Diagram skills, PPT skills
  • Initiative and self-confidence
  • An interest in the way organizational processes work
  • Working knowledge of SQL and/or other data analytics and reporting tools
