We’re seeking a Senior Software Development Manager, based in our San Francisco, California office. In this role, you will consult with project teams and functional business units on the design of important projects or services. Supports existing business systems applications.

  • Architect and develop high performance software applications within the Western Union global Money Transfer system
  • Create Technical Design Documents
  • Develop rapid prototypes and proof of concepts
  • Guide development teams on tasks and projects
  • Troubleshoot issues in support of QA, UAT, and Production defect analysis
  • Collaborate with Business and other Engineering groups on projects

 

What you will need to succeed:

  • 9+ years of experience in Software Development (Java/ J2EE).
  • 3+ years of experience as a team lead or Architect.
  • Strong knowledge in Java based software design/architecture.
  • Hands on experience in Java core libraries, Spring framework, Spring boot, hibernate.
  • Deep understanding of APIs, like RESTful and SOAP based APIs.
  • Experience in multi-thread system design and implementation.
  • Experience in OOD and Design patterns.
  • B.S./M.S. of Computer Science or IT related major.
