We’re seeking a Sr. Info Security Analyst, based in our Denver Colorado office (DTC). In this role, the analyst performs monitoring, research, assessment and analysis on Intrusion Detection and Prevention tools as well as Anomaly Detection systems, Firewalls, Antivirus systems, proxy devices which requires demonstrable security incident response experience

  • Follow pre-defined actions to handle High severity issues including escalating to other support groups. 

  • Execute daily adhoc tasks as needed

  • Perform risk assessment on new threats and vulnerabilities, perform assessment phase of Vulnerability and Threat Management process 

  • Perform assessment as well as troubleshooting and help isolate issues with various security tools 

  • Participate in daily and ad-hoc conference calls as well as compliance and controls, self-assessment processes and documentation related tasks

  • Review escalated IDS/IPS alerts and logs 

  • Correlate logs and alerts into attack patterns 

  • Participate in creation of solutions to reduce risk 

  • Review of firewall and perimeter rule sets SSL certification management and review 

  • Provide assistance in research of next generation security issues, 0-day attacks, and provide input on strategy for future security infrastructure and tools 

What you will need to succeed:

  • BS degree in computing / information systems / or in related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in information security or network security Industry.

  • Expert with all versions of Microsoft Windows Strong experience with the Linux operating system Knowledgeable in TCP/IP, reading network packets, network technologies, and perimeter protection technology 

  • Knowledgeable in firewall technology, IDS/IPS technology 

  • Experience with incident response, forensics and evidence preservation a plus 

  • Excellent writing and communication skills Ability to communicate technical security requirements to business units, create strategy, and implement security plans
