You’ll develop new and maintain/enhance existing Western Union products – Retail Money Order and Convenience Pay. In the role, you will estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and roll out applications with cross-functional impacts. You will Interface and partnership with other engineers in geographically distributed development centers. Your task will be to develop technical & domain expertise and apply to solving product challenges and improve performance. You will provide engineering support and releases as well as proactive monitoring of application usage and capacity planning.


For such a technical role, you’ll need to have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field), with 3+ years of experience in Mainframes Development with excellent computer science fundamentals, IBM mainframe systems. This role requires someone with expertise in mainframe technologies Cobol, JCL, DB2, CA-7, Easytrieve, CA-View, etc. You will also need to have a demonstrated capability in assessing business needs, providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging standards. You will be a team player with good communication skills, able to work in a fast paced, iterative development environment adapting to change.
