We’re seeking a Lead Analyst for our Global Product Compliance team based in our Vilnius, Lithuania office. You will support Western Union Digital expansion and provide guidance and requirements for the launch of new innovative products globally. You will act as a compliance product Expert for our regional teams and ensure all Digital related change management initiatives appropriately follow the Compliance Product Review (gating) process. In close cooperation with our business and regional compliance colleagues, you will support the achievement of exciting projects allowing the company to reach aggressive geographic expansion goals and provide our customers with a safe, convenient and modern service globally.

  • Assess AML/CTF risks of proposed products and recommend mitigating controls
  • Write and publish risk reviews for digital products, with a focus on the international expansion
  • Manage numerous product launches and test the performance of compliance controls implemented for specific products/projects
  • Communicate and escalate high risks to (Senior) Management and product stakeholders, when appropriate
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with global and regional teams including Compliance, Legal, Operations, Engineering, and Business
  • Act as Global Product Compliance point of contact for internal stakeholders

What you will need to succeed:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in substantive AML compliance in a financial institution, and/or as an AML regulator, and/or as an AML consultant.
  • BA required. JD, MBA, or other relevant masters degree a plus.
  • Understanding of money laundering risks.
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing compliance guidance and enforcement matters to identify potential weaknesses and gaps in Western Union’s program and recommend action.
  • Detail oriented, excellent organizational and operational skills, ability to identify key issues and multi-task under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English – a minimum of two writing samples required.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft word and excel.
  • Team player with strong collaborative qualities, ethics, and a positive demeanor.
  • Ability to successfully liaise with business partners to advise on compliance requirements and residual risk
