In this new role, you will play a key role in driving the agenda of the cross-functional Corporate Affairs Council, including on issues related to corporate reputation and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) to support an enterprise-wide ESG strategy and a reputation management function.

You will be managing the development and publication of Western Union’s annual ESG report, and will be working directly with ESG data owners to ensure their understanding of reporting needs including all required data by deadlines. You will also be developing a central data repository for the Company's non-financial ESG data, streamlining the submission of that data from cross-functional owners as well as designing a strategy for the execution and amplification of Western Union’s public ESG commitments. You will be tracking progress against these commitments in order to help keep Western Union’s activities relevant and aligned with the external environment.


We need you to have a Bachelor’s in Communications or related field and at least 5-7 years of experience in communications and managing projects as well as familiarity with ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) reporting frameworks, with some knowledge of current industry trends and practices regarding corporate responsibility and sustainability. You will excel in interacting and communicating with senior executives. Your experience in the financial services industry will be a plus.
