We’re seeking a Business Risk Senior Manager, WUPSIL Business Risk, in our Dublin, Ireland office (Global Money Transfer EU headquarters). In this position you will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of Company’s Risk Management Framework including risk identification, analysis, mitigation, tracking and reporting to executive management and the Board. The Risk Management program is integral in supporting leadership manage companywide risk while making informed decisions to achieve both short and long term strategic goals.

  • Develop and enhance the Company’s Risk Management Framework
  • Support the development and maintenance of the Company’s Risk Management Policy and Framework, Risk Appetite Statement, limits and tolerances
  • Researching and recommending best Enterprise Risk Management practices, tools, and methodologies to improve the understanding and communication of risk
  • Facilitate and support Operational Risk Assessments and studies, providing research, analysis, advice and other inputs as required
  • Working directly with various business functions to identify and report potential risks and opportunities that exist within the Company’s operating environment and to develop and enhance their risk mitigation plans
  • Conduct risk workshops with middle and senior management
  • Create content and conduct risk-based trainings to business units and supporting functions
  • Develop, populate, and maintain key risk indicators/metrics 
  • Input to the corporate wide risk database, including the status of mitigation activities
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with WUPSIL Service Owners and Western Union Outsourced Service Providers Manage and monitoring the Company’s Outsourcing oversight program.
  • Create and provide regular and ad hoc reporting and readouts to senior leadership including Company and Group Senior Executive Management
  • Train and mentor staff in all facets of the Company’s Risk Management environment
  • When required, support the Incident Management Committee and Group Business Risk function

What you will need to succeed:

  • Demonstrated capability to apply risk management concepts, analysis, and support to strategic decision-making processes
  • Experience assessing and articulating risks in complex businesses environments
  • Strong and demonstrable understanding of currencies, economic and financial principles
  • Structured thinker with excellent analytical, written / oral communication and project management skills
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to collaborate in a global, matrix environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems, and recommend sound conclusions
  • Proven ability to drive tasks and resolve issues under tight timeframes
  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
