Right now, we are seeking an Assistant Manager of Brand Management in our Englewood, CO headquarters.


This is a role within WU’s in house agency, the BarBar Shop, providing support to the Sr. Account Manager/Account Manager and leading North America CRM projects from briefing through execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with internal functions (Creative, Copy, Marketing, Legal, etc.) to coordinate and develop all copy and creative assets necessary to support CRM e-mail programs including:
    • Identify process inefficiencies and solutions
    • Understand email journeys and consumer sets
    • Responsible for communicating new initiatives, legal changes, template changes, creative requirements and process changes to creative resources
    • Ensure copy and creative output is on-brand and consumer-first
    • Review email performance with marketers, identify testing opportunities, optimize content and template where possible
    • Responsible for weekly status report
  • Manage relationships and coordinate efforts between the Western Union marketers (internal clients), the BBS designers, and external agency partners
  • Provide leadership and direction to clients on WU brand strategy & creative excellence
  • Support Regional/Local marketing teams in advertising, launching campaigns, communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Responsible for the coordination between the creative team and internal customers in the delivery of first class communications materials which support the global brand platforms and WU Brand
  • Serve as a consultant to internal clients to help develop the best and most relevant advertising and communication tools and campaigns
  • Responsible for directly providing service to your designated internal customers; take in briefs, define the requirements, follow production and act as an adviser on communication objectives
  • Manage execution of adaptation and production requests including both digital and print assets
  • Ensure adherence to Brand guidelines, creative, and strategy
  • Collaborate with the creative team to make the briefs clear and inspiring
  • Responsible for building and growing relationships with our BBS team and internal clients
  • 4-6 years of experience in client services at an advertising agency
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising/Marketing/Communication with 3+ years’ experience in email marketing
  • Proven track record of driving results and scaling email marketing programs
  • Copywriting and editing experience is preferred
  • Digital/ecommerce marketing experience required; Understanding of build types - HTML5, GIF, etc.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage medium/large clients and multiple, unrelated projects at any given time
  • Ability to adapt strategy and creative toolkit contents for regional/local client with minimal supervision
  • Decisive & effective problem-solving ability
  • Experience with both qualitative & quantitative research methodologies
  • Ability to present & sell recommendations and to adjust presentations accordingly based on feedback
  • Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in creative design, web design, production, user navigation, mobile, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that encourage team cooperation, promote enthusiasm & foster strategic thinking
  • Strong ability to take information communicated from leadership and share/train on site team and direct reports on the content
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently, as well as, know when to elevate is critical
  • Able to appropriately prioritize their workload and help direct reports with prioritization challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PPT, etc.
